Trypanosoma Detect™ for Chagas Disease

Trypanosoma Detect™ rapid test is a highly sensitive and specific immunodiagnostic assay for T. cruzi. This test is very easy to use. Simply follow these steps:
- Apply 10ul of serum or 20ul of whole blood to the sample pad.
- Add 3 drops of chase buffer provided to the sample pad.
- Wait 10 minutes.
- Read results.
Special laboratory equipment is not necessary and the test can be stored at room temperature making it easy to use in remote areas.
The figure below shows a diagram of a test strip that has tested positive for T. cruzi. A red to light pink test line indicates the test is positive for T cruzi. No test line indicates the test is negative for T. cruzi. In both cases, the control line should appear. If a control line is not present, the test is considered invalid.
